John is passionate about his work, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, empathetic, and reasonably priced. An exceptional family dentist. I recommend him to anybody who needs dental work. He also has a location in San Ramon which may be more convenient for you.
Very knowledgeable and friendly practice. I have been going here for many years and they are great. The new owner is making many upgrades to the equipment and the office. Dr. Shimane is super nice and when I have to get a novocane shot it doesn't hurt at all.
Dr. Nakhla and Dr. Shimane along with the rest of staff are fantastic!!! I have had a lot of issues with my teeth lately with cracks and breaks and they always get me in and fixed up the same day. They are professional and thoroughly explain all procedures and ensure that I understand and have an opportunity to ask questions. Dr. Nakhla also responds to my emails very quickly. I have been a pretty high maintenance patient lately, but can say that I am 110% satisfied with the care I receive from Castro Valley Family Dentistry.

Today I went in for a small filing and ended up having to have a crown repaired with a filing under it. I personally do not like be numbed and the after feeling, so I asked if we could do it without. They said, yes, so we did. The assistant and Dr. we're great with me and went at it slow, so I felt very little pain. Thank you, Dr Nakhla I really appreciate your patience and care to make today's experience a pleasure to be there and to want to come back to your office.
