I live in C.V. and I have been using this store for about eight years and I have found things I cannot find in Home Depot... screws for instant, very good variety and you can purchase any quantity and kind... I like this store and their people...
I went in today to buy an unusual battery size. I asked the cashier where to find it and she said I will get it for you which she did. I have always found that the staff at Petes to be very helpful when I go in to shop there.
This store is great. I've been using it for over 20 years now. Honestly, there used to be one or two people who worked there that had obnoxious attitudes (this was years ago). But, all I see now is people that go way out of their way to help you. They actually walk with you to complete your list (only if you want them to). I'm amazed by the inventory they keep on hand. It is extremely well organized. The prices are competitive. The last time I was there I had keys made. In that short time about 4 people asked me if I needed help. What a great place!
I've done business here for last 35yrs
Went Pete's yesterday to buy a replacement sprinkler valve not knowing anything about sprinklers. The store was very busy. Two managers stopped what they were doing to help me. I went back to the store today because I could not get the valve to work. A staff member called a manager and I was greeted bay a very helpful Bill. I told him what was happening and he did not hesitate to offer an exchange. He took my fittings off the defective unit, walked me to the register and told the checker to do an exchange. Every time I go to this store. I am always impressed. The only reason I do not give them 5 stars is that they are a little pricey.
