Great location "away" from the city feeling, why driving 2+ hrs just for camping when you can camp here 30 min away from most cities.

Not perfect but convenient, safe and clean.

Will need 2 days if want to hike, fish or bike.

This park is an absolute Bay Area treasure. There are many things to do & discover here. There is a marina equip with boats for rent, a cafe if your hungry. Fishing here is a right of passage for every kid. Bait, licenses and more are available for purchase. The trails are AMAZING especially if you get to some of the less travelled parts of the park. Oh almost forgot that this park also has campgrounds. Pretty amazing bay area gem!

This is a review on the RV Campground, stay was around beginning of August:

Very nice and accessible parc - 25 usd with Rv no hook up/35 with hook up. Beautiful views on the Chabot lake. About 40' from downtown SF. We loved to use it during our US road trip to visit SF.

Stayed here for 2 nights while our family toured San Francisco. Accommodations were good. Roads are narrow, with trees quite close to the road. Steep hills on either side of road within campground. Would probably stay here again but chose a different site. The restrooms were typical campground/park restrooms. Not the best condition. Definitely not for a "indoorsy" girl such as my wife. Full hookups, electric, water, sewer. South road was closed due to wash-out. Access only available through the north side. The community you drive through to get to the campground is kind of sketchy. The road from "civilization" is very slow and MANY turns. Takes about 30 minutes to drive in from the main road to campground, even without a trailer. If you're looking for a "quick spot" for someone just driving through, this is not the place. If you're looking to "get away from it all", this is the place. I've stayed in RV Resorts, and I've also stayed in State Parks as well as other Regional Parks. Not the best. Not quite the worst. Beautiful area. Fantastic price for Bay Area!!

This is such a great place to go hiking and enjoy the great outdoors, while still being able to enjoy the views of the big city!
