Great time fishing the dock close to the marina. Very picturesque and calming to your senses. A gem nestled in the heart of Castro Valley.
This is my go to place for a leisurely walk in nature. It’s easy to get to. There is plenty of parking. There are nice restrooms and a snack shop where you can rent boats to go out on the lake.
Had a great time. Much needed escape from the city. The drive was a bit long because of a road closure. The park was well kept and staff was helpful. Restrooms could be a little bit better kept. The campsite I was at didn't have much of a flat surface for my tent but overall had a good experience.
Wonderful park, amazing settings, good location, spectacular sceneries, there is a beautiful lake Chabot. I cannot visit this place without taking my fishing rod and renting a patio boat for 2 hrs. Take a good camera with you, you will need it here. A perfect place to hike, walk, fish, barbecue and have fun. I can’t say enough good words about this park absolutely one of the most beautiful parks in California east bay.
It is great park, a lot of picnic areas. It has a long paved trail which is easy for walk and stroller friendly. It is beautiful sunshine and the great view of the lake for a half day hiking is perfect. A lot of people do some fishing, boating on the lake.
